Oui, c'est vraiment formidable de pouvoir présenter ce reportage. Sans les efforts du photographe Sam Shirley, nous n'aurions pas de reportage pour cette installation. Il semble que Big Rock ait fermé pour la saison le 9 mars 2024, il peut donc être marqué comme fermé. Cette année a été très chaude et difficile pour les stations de ski du nord-est des États-Unis. Probablement l'un des hivers les plus chauds de tous les temps.
Yes, it's really great to have this report presented. If not for the efforts of photographer Sam Shirley, we would not have a report for this installation. It looks like Big Rock closed for the season on March 9, 2024, so it can be marked as closed. This year has been very warm and difficult for ski areas in the Northeast United States. Probably one of the warmest winters ever.
Nous n'avons pas la certitude absolue que l'installation provient d'Evergreen Valley, mais NewEnglandSkiHistory.com indique qu'il est "probable" qu'elle provienne de cette région, ce qui est une source très fiable. Le graphique indique qu'il a été fabriqué en 1969. Or, les télésièges d'Evergreen Valley n'ont été installés qu'en 1971. Je signale ces incohérences à titre d'information.
Note that we do not have 100% confirmation of the installation came from Evergreen Valley, but NewEnglandSkiHistory.com says it is "likely" where it came from, which is a very reliable source. The graphic says it was manufactured in 1969. But the chairlifts at Evergreen Valley weren't actually installed until 1971. I point out the inconsistencies just for the record.
